It was sad leaving Morocco after spending 12 days there, but it was time to move on to Spain. So far, with just over 24 hours here, I am in love with Madrid. The town is very vibrant, interesting, and fun. It may just be that I do not have to worry about donkeys, using a squat toilet, or hoping that I didn't offend anyone by using the wrong hand or saying the wrong thing. Here, are a few pictures from our walk around Madrid.
SPAIN!!!! I'm so jealous again!!! There is a little tapas bar right across from that statue of Neptune (or, King Triton as we know him from Little Mermaid!) Go to this tapas place. Order the "croquetas de jamon!" Then go down the main street and go to the Museo de Jamon and order many pounds of cured meats. It's delicious. Go to the train station and just walk through it, even if you don't go anywhere. It's so pretty! If you have time, take a day trip to Toledo, it was totally amazing and beautiful While you're there, get more jamon! Have fun!!! :)
