Sunsets

Not much I can say other than beautiful (and that I love how great my camera is)!

Spice Shop

One of our cooking school instructors gave us a tour of where they bought the ingredients for our meal. The spice shop was at the end and the most exciting part. The owner of the shop was extremely nice, and over some amazing royal tea, we learned all about the different spice and bought a good amount of spices to take home. Here are some pictures from the shop.

Fish stalls

Right next to the port, there are 15-20 lunch stalls serving fresh, grilled fish, shrimp, lobster, and squid served to order. For $12 each, we got a salad, bread, fries, a drink, 2 fish (one was red snapper), shrimp, and calamari. It was more food that I could eat, and it was so fresh. Be warned, just like when you are shopping, you have to haggle for the best price and if they charge too much go onto the next stall.

Coastal shots

The coastline of Essaouira is breathtaking at times. Walking along the ramparts, the beach, or down by the port give you views of the ocean that are stunning. It was really hard to say good-bye to Essaouira because of all the natural beauty it had.

L'Atelier Madada Cooking School

If you ever go to Essaouira, you must spend the time and take a cooking class at L'Atelier Madada. It was the highlight of my trip and it is worth every penny. You learn how to make some classic Moroccan dishes with the nicest people. Trip Advisor ranks it the #1 thing to do in Essaouira, and I agree.
