Penedes Region

An hour outside of Barcelona, the wine region of Penedes which is known for cava production and great Spanish wines. My parents had been visiting for the week, and we decided a day trip out into the countryside would be a great break from the busy city. We had some interesting tours, great wine/cava, and fantastic views of the countryside.

Maritime Museum

Located at the end of the la Rambla, the Maritime Museum in Barcelona contains some amazing models, nautical artifacts, and exhibits about deep-sea exploration. Even though it was being renovated while we were there, it was pretty awesome.
