Attica Zoo

(Finally found the zoo)

If you are ever in Athens and are thinking about going to the Attica Zoo, it is totally worth it. The zoo is quite large and has one of the largest collection of birds in the world. However, I warn you about getting there. After 2 hours of traveling on public transit, we were still 15 minutes away. And to make matter worse, once we got off the bus, we had another 10 min walk. This journey is not for the light of heart, and if I did not have a meeting at the zoo, I am not sure I would have continued on for so long. Nonetheless, I still had a wonderful time exploring the zoo, and they even had a couple of African Penguins. Here is a glimpse of our time at the zoo.
9 Month Old Cubs

Mother Bear

Two Giraffes Necking (I am pretty sure this is a technical term too)

African Penguin (from South Africa)

Entering the Desert Exhibit

Reptiles House

A couple of many, many birds

  1. You look SO excited to have finally found the zoo...not! Mr. Serious! Also I must say that I am inpressed with how good you look. I didn't know it was possible to live out of a backpack and have a decent looking button down shirt to wear. Great job!
Can't wait to talk to you later today.
    Love ya!
